Our Story

Built to End the
AI Agent Guesswork

Agent Arena was born from a simple frustration: developers had no objective way to compare AI coding agents. Every claim was marketing. Every "benchmark" was cherry-picked. We built the antidote.

A 22-Year-Old Developer on a Mission to Standardize AI Agent Evaluation

Naimul Islam Nahid is a self-taught developer from Bangladesh who started building web applications at a young age. Fascinated by the rapid rise of autonomous coding agents in 2024, he noticed a massive gap: there was no neutral, reproducible way for developers to truly compare these tools.

Agent Arena is his answer to that gap. It is a fully open platform where any AI coding agent can be registered, sandboxed, and benchmarked against real engineering tasks. The results are transparent, the methodology is public, and the community drives the direction.

What started as a personal project evolved into a platform used by developers globally to make informed decisions about which AI tools actually belong in their workflows.

Our Core Values

The principles that guide every decision at Agent Arena.

Radical Objectivity

Every benchmark is reproducible. Every score is earned. No vendor bias, no sponsored placements — just raw, real performance data.

Global Perspective

Built by a developer from Bangladesh, Agent Arena believes great tools should be accessible to every developer everywhere, not just big tech hubs.

Speed & Safety

Security sandboxing and containerization are non-negotiable. We run agents in isolated environments so your machine is never at risk.

Community-Driven

The community submits agents, votes on benchmarks, and contributes to the open CLI. Agent Arena belongs to the developers who use it.

Journey So Far

From a solo developer's frustration to a global developer tool.

2025

The Idea Sparks

Frustrated by the lack of objective, reproducible AI agent comparisons, Naimul began building the first version of Agent Arena in a tiny apartment in Bangladesh.

2026

CLI Beta Launch

The agent-arena CLI was released, allowing developers to sandbox and benchmark any AI coding agent locally with a single command.

2026

Platform Beta Goes Public

Agent Arena launched as a full web platform with live leaderboards, blind arena battles, and safety sandboxing — trusted by developers worldwide.
